ViRAGO
is a
high-energy guitar and percussion duet consisting of musicians/composers
Amy Schindler
and
Maire Tashjian.
Their
music is an edgy rock sound with elements of blues and
samba.
They have performed internationally including Salvador Bahia, Brazil. The
New York Council on the Arts has recognized ViRAGO for their debut
recording "Here be Dragons." ViRAGO
is in
our schools offering
Interactive
Assemblies including "The Joy of Rhythm" multicultural, educational,
percussion and performing arts program!

and

Their repertoire includes Rock
n' Roll cover tunes ranging from Melissa Etheridge to Bruce Springsteen,
plus their original tunes. They can handle quiet Jazz and Blues standards
too!!! Virago is available for weddings or private parties and have appeared
at a variety of venues throughout NY and NJ.
